  传说，山上经常有一只猛虎下山伤人畜。有一天，龙王的女儿在山坡上采花，被恶虎叼跑。一位名叫石槽的青年听到救命声，挥剑追赶，迫使恶虎丢下龙女逃跑。为了报答石槽救命之恩，龙女便与他结为夫妇。石槽想恶虎不除，百姓一天不得安宁，于是婚后第一天便要上山除虎。龙女告诉他，这恶虎是天上黑虎星下凡，只有用龙宫里的宝剑，才能制服它。龙女回宫借宝剑。
  不想，在龙女离开当天恶虎又下山伤人，石槽等不及宝剑，便与恶虎搏斗，挥剑砍掉飞虎牙，落到海里，成了虎牙礁；又一把拽住老虎尾巴，甩到旅顺港湾，成了老虎尾；最后砍去半个虎头成了半拉山；虎身瘫在海边，成了虎滩。石槽受累而死，变成礁石。龙女借剑回来，见夫已死，痛不欲生，卧在夫身边，化成美人礁......

Once upon a time,there was a ferocious tiger often went down the mountain to harm people andlivestock. One day, the Dragon King’s daughter went to pick flowers on thehillside, and she was caught by the evil tiger. A young man named Shi Cao heardthe cry for help and ran after the tiger with a sword. He forced the evil tigerescaped and left the daughter. In order to repay Shi Cao’s life-saving grace,the daughter of the Dragon King married to him. Shi Cao believed that there isno peaceful life for people if the evil tiger still alive. Therefore, on thefirst day after marriage, Shi Cao went up the mountain to kill the tiger. Thedaughter of the Dragon King told him that the tiger is transformed by the blacktiger star in the sky and can only be killed with the sword in the DragonPalace. Thus, she went back to the palace to borrow the sword.
However, at theday she left, the evil tiger went down and started to hurt people. Shi Cao hasto fight with the evil tiger without the dragon sword. Shi Cao’s sword cut offthe tiger’s teeth, fell into the sea and became the Tiger Teeth Reef. Hegrabbed the tiger’s tail and thrown it to the Lushun Harbor, formed the TigerTail. Finally, he cut off half of the tiger’s head and it formed into the Banlamountain. The tiger’s body laid at the beach and became the Laohutan(tigerbeach). Shi Cao was exhausted to death and transfromed to a reef. The DragonKing’s daughter realized that her husband was dead after coming back with thesword. She didn’t want to live anymore, laid by her husband side, she killedherself and transformed into the Beauty Reef.
